Thanks to ViaVision, some more classic TV shows are getting DVD releases in May (2022).

The Bill: The Complete Series 22

Series 22 of the longest-running police procedural on television, airing for 27 years.

Back on the beat with Sun Hill’s finest… By 1999, The Bill had returned to the one-hour format, remaining a Top 10 UK drama for ITV and a popular Saturday night fixture on ABC in Australia. Series 22 collects all 91 episodes across 24 discs.

DVD release date 18 May.

Widows / She’s Out: The Complete Collection

Newly restored from the original film elements and original negatives.

Widows was nominated for the British Academy Television Award for Best Drama Series or Serial, and comes from pioneering British producer Verity Lambert (Doctor Who, Minder, Jonathan Creek). The gritty crime series with strong female lead characters and the career breakthrough which started Lynda La Plante on her path as one of television’s highest profile writers, is back on DVD with both Series 1 & 2 NEWLY RESTORED from the original film elements. She’s Out takes up the story of the central character, Dolly Rawlins (Ann Mitchell), ten years after the events of the previous series, and all 6 parts have been digitally restored from the original negatives.

Randall and Hopkirk [Deceased]: The Complete Series

This 7-disc set presents all 26 remastered episodes plus Special Features.

One of ITC’s most-loved action series, Randall and Hopkirk [Deceased] comes from Dennis Spooner and Monty Berman, the team behind The Champions, Department S and Jason King. Jeff Randall (Mike Pratt) is a hard-bitten private eye with a problem: his partner, Marty Hopkirk (Kenneth Cope) – who was murdered investigating a case – still turns up to work.
